Synopsis

Interactive Spectral Interpretation System (ISIS)

Description

ISIS is a fully programmable spectral analysis system, providing low-level access to spectral data, instrument responses, and spectral models and atomic data from the APEC database. It is designed to facilitate the interpretation and analysis of high resolution X-ray spectra, but also supports analysis of CCD resolution spectra and a number of other applications.

ISIS can be used either as a stand-alone package or as a module which can be loaded into any S-Lang based system. The module is included in the CIAO distribution; it may be loaded into any S-Lang based application via the

require("isis")

statement. Source code and binaries for the current release may be obtained from the ISIS web page. The user's manual is available from the web page along with a number of usage examples.

Bugs

See the ISIS web page for further information and support.
