xsedge

Context: models

Synopsis

The XSPEC edge model: absorption edge.

Syntax

xsedge

The xsedge model is a multiplicative model component.

Description

The model is described at [1] .

Example

>>> create_model_component("xsedge", "mdl")
>>> print(mdl)

Create a component of the xsedge model and display its default parameters. The output is:

mdl
   Param Type Value Min Max Units
   -----        ----          -----          ---          ---      -----
   mdl.edgeE    thawed            7            0          100        keV
   mdl.MaxTau   thawed            1            0           10

ATTRIBUTES

The attributes for this object are:

Attribute Definition
edgeE The threshold edge, in keV.
MaxTau The absorption depth at the threshold.
