show_proj

Synopsis

Display the projection information

Syntax

show_proj(outfile=None, clobber=False)

Description

The show_proj command displays the results of the projection command ("ahelp projection") .

The command output looks like:

Projection:Dataset               = 1
Confidence Method     = projection
Fitting Method        = neldermead
Statistic             = cstat
projection 1-sigma (68.2689%) bounds:
   Param            Best-Fit  Lower Bound  Upper Bound
   -----            --------  -----------  -----------
   abs1.nh         0.0349312   -0.0104857    0.0112408

Examples

Example 1

sherpa> show_proj()

Print the projection values for all datasets to the screen.

Example 2

sherpa> show_proj("sherpa.proj", True)

Write the projection values to the file "sherpa.proj", clobbering any existing file with the same name.


Changes in CIAO 4.12

PAGER environment variable is no-longer used

Paging of the screen output is now handled by Python rather than using an external tool defined by the PAGER environment variable. This means that paged output should now appear in Jupyter notebooks.
