list_models

Context: models

Synopsis

List all Sherpa models.

Syntax

list_models()

Description

Sherpa provides many different types of basic 1D and 2D models to be fit to data; they can be used alone or as components of arbitrary model expressions. (Such models include the Gaussian function, the Lorentzian function, XSPEC models, among many others.) When called with no arguments (default), this function lists all the different types of models available in Sherpa. Valid arguments include "all", "xspec", "1d", and "2d":


Examples

Example 1

sherpa> list_models()

This function returns a sorted list of all Sherpa models, by type.

Example 2

sherpa> list_models("xspec")

This function returns a list of all XSPEC models in Sherpa.
