AHELP for CIAO 4.11 Sherpa v1

list_functions

Context: info

Synopsis

List all available Sherpa functions

Syntax

list_functions([filename=None] )

Description

The list_functions command lists all available Sherpa commands. The output may optionally be saved to a file.

The behavior of the screen output is determined by the user's $PAGER environment variable setting, which is usually a variant of "more." To disable paging within show_all() - i.e. print the entire contents, even if it scrolls offscreen - change this setting to "cat" before starting Sherpa:

unix% setenv PAGER cat

unix% sherpa

Examples

Example 1

sherpa> list_functions()

Print all available functions to the screen.

Example 2

sherpa> list_functions("sh_func.txt")

Write the list of functions to the file sh_func.txt.
