hide_minor_ticks

Context: axes

Synopsis

Hides the minor tickmarks of the axis or axes.

Syntax

hide_minor_ticks()
hide_minor_ticks(id)

Description

The function arguments.

Argument Description
id A ChipsId structure identifying the item, or a string containing the name of the object.

The hide_minor_ticks command hides the minor tick marks of one or more axes in the plot. To make the tickmarks visible again, use the display_minor_ticks command.


Example

chips> add_axis(XY_AXIS, 0.5, 1, 10)
chips> hide_minor_ticks("ax1")

A pair of axes is created, then the minor tickmarks on axis 'ax1' are hidden.
