AHELP for CIAO 4.11 ChIPS v1

display_point

Context: points

Synopsis

Display the specified point.

Syntax

display_point()
display_point(id)

Description

The function arguments.

Argument Description
id A ChipsId structure identifying the item, or a string containing the name of the object.

If no argument is given then the current point is shown, otherwise the argument determines what to show.

Examples

Example 1

chips> add_point(.4, .5, "id=sq style=square")
chips> hide_point("sq")
chips> display_point()

Create a point and hide it, then display the current point.

Example 2

chips> add_point(.4, .5, "id=sq style=square")
chips> hide_point("sq")
chips> add_point(.6, .5, "style=plus")
chips> id = ChipsId()
chips> id.point = "sq"
chips> display_point(id)

Two points are created; the second point is current after it is created. The id.point command sets the point value of the ChipsId structure to the first point. That point is then displayed.

Example 3

chips> add_point(.4, .5, "id=sq style=square")
chips> add_point(.8, .2, "id=tri style=uptriangle size=12")
chips> hide_point("all")
chips> display_point("all")

Two points are created and hidden, then the display_point command displays them both.
