Chandra's First Decade of Discovery

Registration

General and student registration includes two receptions, four breakfasts, three lunches, and two breaks per day, plus a lunchtime cruise aboard the Spirit of Boston. A guest registration fee includes both receptions, all breakfasts and lunches, and one cruise ticket (attendance at the talks and the breaks is not included for guests).

General and student registration close at midnight EDT on 11 September. If payment is not received in full by 11 September, the walk-in registration fee will be assessed.

There is no one-day attendance option available for Chandra's First Decade of Discovery.

Additional Cruise Tickets

Each registration fee (general, student, and guest) includes one ticket to the lunchtime cruise; additional guest tickets may be purchased for $50 per person. Please refer to the Social Events page for more information and age restrictions for the cruise.

The deadline for purchasing cruise tickets is 11 September 2009.

Students: please submit a letter from the department chair indicating that you are currently enrolled and therefore qualify for the reduced registration rate. The letter must be received by 11 September and may be sent either by email (tenyears@head.cfa.harvard.edu) or post:

Cancellation Policy: There will be a $100 processing fee for all cancellations prior to Friday, 11 September and no refunds thereafter.

Visa Information: If you are not from a country that participates in the Visa Waiver Program with the United States and you are presenting at Chandra's First Decade of Discovery, please email tenyears@head.cfa.harvard.edu as soon as possible if you require visa assistance. Include your mailing address, telephone number, and title of your talk or poster with your request. Note that the address cannot be a P.O. box since the letters are sent via FedEx.

If you are not presenting at this event, you may obtain a tourist visa (B-2) without an invitational letter from the organizing committee. Refer to the information on the U.S. Department of State Visitor Visas webpage.
