This page is only needed for manual installs, since the ciao-install script and conda can be used to upgrade CalDB or add new packages (the ACIS and HRC background files).
CIAO 4.16 is required for the use of CalDB 4.11.0 or later. Users of CIAO 4.12–4.15 may use CalDB 4.9.0–4.10.7.
The CalDB contains all the calibration files required for Chandra data analysis. The CalDB can be downloaded, installed, and upgraded with the ciao-install script and conda.

CalDB 4.12.0 Full
This is the latest full installation of the CalDB. If you already have CalDB 4.11.0 or higher installed, it is only necessary to download the upgrade package.

CalDB 4.12.0 Upgrade
This is a cumulative upgrade, updating CalDB versions from 4.11.0 to 4.12.0. If you do not already have at least CalDB 4.11.0 or higher installed, you should download the full installation.
