Item 1:  Einstein Postdoctoral Fellowship Program for 2012

The CXC announces the 2012 Einstein Postdoctoral Fellowship Program
and solicits applications for fellowships to begin in the fall of
2012. The Einstein Postdoctoral Fellowship program, sponsored by NASA,
awards Fellowships to recent Ph.D.'s (since January 1, 2009) in
astronomy, physics, and related disciplines.  The deadline for

Item 2: Use of Optional CCDs for Observations with Pitch Angles > 130 degrees
======================================================================


Starting in Cycle 13, the CXC may decide to turn off an optional CCD if
6 CCDs total are requested (where total is the sum of required and
optional CCDs) for observations that are scheduled at a pitch angle
larger than 130 degrees. The observer should contact their Uplink
Support scientist if they have any questions about this.
