Found Auto Backup, restore? [New]

When DS9 starts it checks if there is an auto restore file/directory in your home directory. If one is found it will ask if you want to use it to restore your session.

This is useful if DS9 exited with an error and you want to restore the session. However, it is also displayed if you have multiple DS9 programs running. This can be avoided by one of:

  1. deleting the file ds9.auto and directory ds9.auto.dir in your home directory;

  2. turn off the "Auto Recovery" option in the DS9 preferences window;

  3. or use the command-line option to turn the preference off with:

    unix% ds9 -prefs auto recovery no

    [NOTE]
    Note

    This setting will be saved and so any new DS9 will have the auto-backup feature turned off.
