GRS 1915+105

 

This example concerns the HETGS observation (obsid_660) of GRS 1915+105 by Julia Lee from April 2000.

The first figure shows the result of flux-correcting using the standard technique. In this figure the dashed black line indicates the best guess of the correct flux based upon the use of the pileup model.

Although the agreement between the various orders is better than that obtained by the standard flux-correction technique, there are still some systematic differences between the orders. In particular, the MEG+1 order is not being properly flux-corrected.
