My user model worked in CIAO 2.3. Why won't it work in CIAO 3?

A significant change between CIAO 2.3 and CIAO 3 is that Sherpa now converts all input data to double precision, and performs all its computations in double precision. A user model that defines values as "float" was appropriate for CIAO 2.3, but has a bad effect in CIAO 3. Changing all instances of "float" to "double" should yield the expected results.
