Email from Feb 26, 2012 ----------------------- Due to high ACE P3 flux it was decided to safe the science instruments. CAP 593 was used to activate SCS-107 at 2012:058:03:24:21z. SCS-107 ran nominally. The current plan is to aim to resume observing using the uplink opportunity at begins at 10:10pm EST. The schedule will be reworked to ensure that ObsIDs 13279, 13719, and 13785 remain in the schedule. Target of a release for a review tomorrow afternoon. The loads were halted at 10:24pm EST on Feb 26 through a ground command to execute the SI Safing SCS 107. This ensured that the accumulated radiation dose for ACIS remained below the allowed threshold. All spacecraft actions were nominal. A real-time procedure was executed on Feb 27 to disable SCS-29, which was enabled during the safing sequence. An additional real-time procedure was executed on Feb 27 to start a collection of ACIS CCD charge-transfer inefficiency data.
