One of the CMEs observed and reported yesterday (Thursday) following an M1-class flare may deliver a glancing blow to Earth by Sunday, Apr 26. Two X2.5 flares were observed last night from AR 4419 located close to the northwest limb. A CME assosiated with the second X2.5 flare was launched but so far it appears to be heading away from us. The ACE P3 and GOES rates are currently at the nominal levels and we will provide updates if anything changes. Radiation (Geophysical Activity): The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to unsettled levels on day one (24 Apr), quiet to active levels on day two (25 Apr) and quiet to minor storm levels on day three (26 Apr). Protons have a slight chance of crossing threshold on days one, two, and three (24 Apr, 25 Apr, 26 Apr).
