[1688](/occweb/web/webapps/ifot/ifot.php?r=flightops&t=properties&format=sheet&id=867898) | 048/0249z | Recovery from Day 2023:047 Safe Mode Transition On 15 Feb 2023 (day 2023:047) at approximately 07:33 UTC the Chandra observatory transitioned to Safe Mode. Based on the halted OBC-A error log contents and SSR dump data, it appears that a trip of the PCAD Attitude Error/Rate Error Monitor is what initiated the Safe Mode transition. The Safe Mode transition was nominal (Pass 1), with the on-board equipment swap actions having been successfully accomplished. In Safe Mode, FSS-A performance has not been nominal and its use has been disabled. At this time, the spacecraft is power positive and power safe, and the HRC and ACIS science instruments are in a safe state. Investigations are complete as to the cause of the monitor trip,, suggesting conditions during a Normal Sun Mode recovery effort on the same day contributed to this Safe Mode event. As a result, a standard recovery to OBC control can be accomplished. [1373D](/occweb/web/webapps/ifot/ifot.php?r=flightops&t=properties&format=sheet&id=867900) | 048/0454z | PR-377 Rev. A CPE Sun Vector Parameter Patch Update the CPE parameter Sun Vector Solar Array(3) to prevent extended attitude hold condition on the next Safe Mode transition. [1689](/occweb/web/webapps/ifot/ifot.php?r=flightops&t=properties&format=sheet&id=867901) | 048/0502z | Post Safe Mode Recovery Cleanup On 15 Feb 2023 (day 2023:047) at approximately 07:33 UTC the Chandra observatory transitioned to Safe Mode. Investigations are complete as to the cause of the Attitude Error/Rate Error Monitor trip that initiated the Safe Mode transition. Recovery to the primary-side equipment has been completed. Prior to completing the NSM recovery and returning to science mission activities, a number of clean-up actions are needed. This CAP is to be used to accomplish those clean-up tasks. [563B](/occweb/web/webapps/ifot/ifot.php?r=flightops&t=properties&format=sheet&id=867904) | 048/1215z | Diagnostic Dumps of the CPE Perform routine dumps to verify CPE SOH. Used to examine CPE warm start count, error log, and last CPE reset time. Radiation: Solar activity is expected to be low with a chance for M-class flares on days one, two, and three (17 Feb, 18 Feb, 19 Feb). MP: Supporting Safemode recovery as needed. ENG: Completed Safemode recovery efforts. GOT: No issues.
