SOT MP Ongoing Activities
Weekly Scheduling
- Supplied regular lists of ORs to FOT MP team for scheduling.
- Worked with instrument specialists and observers (through USINT) to update plans and modify ORs, as necessary.
- Supported load reviews.
- Distributed planning products to SI and CXC groups for review.
- Reviewed Mission Schedule; participated in formal review telecons.
- Documented items reviewed in SOT MP load reviews.
- Since Jan 15, 2002, roughly 230 observations have been scheduled for a total observing time of 4.8 million seconds (including Calibration targets).
- Missed observations due to radiation events not reported here; see FOT/MP-MTA report.
- Scheduled efficiency: 66.3% (obstime/total), 85.3% (obstime/total-radzone-CTI).
- Maintained long-term schedule, including re-observation of incomplete programs and new calibrations.
TOO/DDT Support
- Executed TOO/DDT programs and new calibrations.
Multi-telescope Observations
- Since Jan 15, 2002, coordinated 4 observing programs with other observatories (including HST, RXTE, and SAX).
- Considerable effort also expended on rescheduling of coordinated programs affected by HST servicing mission and FUSE operations anomalies.
