HRC Command Sequences

Radiation High Commands - SCS #85

Description:

This command sequence should be used in response to signals from the AXAF radiation monitor (EPHIN) that indicate the observatory is in a high-flux particle radiation environment. The goal is to protect the parts of the HRC instrument that may be degraded by continued operation in this environment (see HRC CARD item HRC-R-002. This command sequence turns off all of the HRC HV power supplies and sets the requested step levels to 0. It then disables the HRC-I and -S MCP HV turn on SCSs so that they cannot be executed. Once this sequence has run it is only possible to get the HRC back to operating on the nominal science mission via a ground contact with the observatory.

This command sequence is based on the HRC EGSE scripts allhvoff.cmd
