HRC Contingency Procedures

Serial Digital Command Verification

Description:

This procedure is used to determine if serial command processing through the CTU's, the RCTU and the HRC serial command decoder is functioning. A pair of serial digital commands are sent to the HRC that will result in the toggling of a single bit in the HRC secondary science housekeeping. The commands have no effect on HRC configuration or operation.

Note: The HRC must be on (secondary science data available) in order for this procedure to be run.

Procedure Trigger:

This procedure may be run at any time the HRC is on and there is a question of whether or not the HRC is responding to serial digital commands.
