Subject: HRC Door Operation during ACIS Observations

CRL Statement:
The HRC door may not be moved during times when ACIS is observing
celestial sources.
CRL Rationale/Justification:
IF1-20 section 3.4.2.1.1 - "Observatory constraints will be to prevent
operation of the HRC door while ACIS is taking measurements."
CRL Impact:
Operation of the HRC door perturbs AXAF pointing stability degrading
X-ray image reconstruction.
Recommended Action:
Incorporate into mission planning for ACIS observations.
