Number: HRC-C-010
Type: Constraint
Original Date: 1998 October 13
Subsystem: HRC
Subject: HRC Electronics Power Configuration
Source: Gerry Austin
CRL Statement:
Only one side of the HRC electronics may be connected to the active
spacecraft bus.
CRL Rationale/Justification:
The power configuration constraint is derived from the HRC design.
CRL Impact:
If both sides of the HRC are connected to the same power bus, the
current transient experienced upon bus turn-on may result in blowing
the spacecraft fuse associated with the bus resulting in the loss of
power redundancy for the HRC.
Recommended Action:
Incorporate into the Systems and Operations Procedures, with ASC providing
the inputs.
