Teleconference/WebEx Instructions



If you cannot attend the CUC Meeting this Oct 25-26, 2010, but will
participate from off-site, here are instructions for audio
teleconference and for WebEx as a way of providing streaming video.

Before accessing webex, bring up a tab on your browser with all
the electronic presentations

which should be available by Friday, Oct 22.

That way you can see the presentations clearly, and even go
back/ahead if you like.

We are not using the (very costly) webex audio capability.
Instead, for audio please call into the toll-free

Instructions for Using WebEx to View the CUC Streaming Video.

1: Go to http://sao.webex.com

2: In the Browse Meetings page, click on the "Join" Link for the entry
labeled "CUC Meeting"

3: Where it says "It's Time to Join" enter your name as you want it to
appear in the participants list, provide an email address and the
password above (if requested).

4: Your main window will say "One Moment Please...". A pop-up window
may come up with text about trusting the certificate or digital
signature for the WebEx applet. Click the "Trust" or "Run" button,
depending on your computer's platform.

5: A "Preparing Meeting Center" window will appear - wait for it to
complete (may take a couple minutes)

The WebEx tool will be launched.  The window that comes up by default
should be the shared desktop of the meeting "host". It will be running
a webcam pointed at the presenters. You should be able to resize the
window as needed to allow room to run other applications at the same
time.

This is the only functionality of WebEx that we will be using for this
meeting.  Close the Audio Conference setup window if it comes up.

If you do not see the webcam, please check for a small window that is
titled "Application Share" or "Shared Application" and click the
"Return" button.

To log out:

1: Minimize the Application window, or hit the blue curved arrow in
the Meeting Controls panel.

2: This should bring up the Cisco WebEx Meeting Center; go to
File->Leave Meeting

3: A "Leave Meeting" window pops up, click on "Yes".  You will be
disconnected from the meeting and the application will quit.
