SAOfocus - compute geometric focus and RMS focus
SAOfocus Version D19990113
SAOfocus uses an IRAF-compatible parameter interface. A template parameter file is in /proj/axaf/simul/lib/uparm/SAOfocus.par.
This parameter specifies the name of the file/stream for the input
bpipe. If the filename is the string stdin, it reads UNIX
standard input.
This parameter specifies the name of the file/stream for the output
bpipe. If the filename is the string stdin, it write to UNIX
standard output.
This parameter specifies the name of the file to contain the raytrace summary and error messages.
This parameter specifies the name of the OSAC-style 'gi' file containing the optic prescription.
yes|noNOTE: This parameter must be set to no.
yes|noPrint out a simple help message and exit.
yes|noPrint out SAOfocus's version and exit.
A list of debug flags. None are presently defined.
SAOfocus reads BPipe format rays and finds the focus position minimizing RMS spot size. The rays are moved to a specified focal plane (see the OSAC V7.0 manual for a description of the "gi" file parameters) and the Z-coordinate is set to 0.0.
Note that onlygoodrays = yes is required for correct operation of this
module.
This version of SAOfocus makes extensive use of routines from the
NASA Goddard Space Flight Center code OSAC,
"Optical Surface Analysis Code".
