CIAO4 Software Demos
--------------------
The CXC team will have demonstrations of the CIAO4 software in the
Chandra booth during the entire meeting and can answer questions
related to Chandra data analysis. Participants are welcome to stop by
and try it out.

Item 2. CIAO Patch
====================
The CIAO team is planning a patch (CIAO 4.0.2) to support the
Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) operating system on Intel Macs. Several
software changes to ChIPS & Prism and the latest versions of
DS9 and XPA are required.
The patch is scheduled for release in mid-April.

Item 3. Chandra Calibration Team Position
===========================================
The Chandra Calibration Team has an opening for an IT Specialist
(SAO Job#28-16). The group analyzes both space-based and
ground-based data relating to Chandra instrument performance,
provides quantitative calibration information and documentation,
and interfaces with external Chandra elements, including the
scientific community. Primarily, the Data Specialist will be
involved in software development related to instrument performance
for the Low Energy Transmission Gratings instrument, developing
and analyzing numerical algorithms, data reduction and analysis,
documenting and organizing results, and participating in the daily
operations of one of NASA's Great Observatories, the Chandra X-ray
Observatory.
Beyond a strong interest in hands-on participation in the operation
of a major space observatory, qualifications include a solid
background in physics, math, astronomy, and computing. Positions
of this kind often have been an excellent learning opportunity for
recent holders of baccalaureate degrees looking for several years'
experience before proceeding to graduate school, but also have been
filled by persons with a variety of other backgrounds and planned
career paths. If interested, please respond to the announcement
for Job #28-16 at http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/hr/postings/28-16.html
or contact Jeremy Drake (jdrake@cfa.harvard.edu) directly.

Chandra images are now featured in Google Sky: Google Sky lets you tour
Chandra images online. Just like in Google Maps you can pan, zoom and
search. Take a tour of the Chandra layers and try adjusting the
transparency to see how the images fit into the optical map underneath.
