This file catalogs Chandra's altitude during preparations for radiation belt
entry and exit. Specifically, Chandra's altitude is correlated to the times 
when the SIM TSC was commanded to translate ACIS to the NIL position (to place 
HRC-S in the focal plane), to the times when the radiation monitor disable 
(radmon DS) command was issued, to the times when the radiation monitor enable 
(radmon EN) command was issued, and lastly, to the times when the SIM translation 
occured after radiation belt transit. These times and altitudes are tabulated 
in the table below. Also now included is the electron 1 time span. The OFLS, via
the AP8/AE8 model, computes the time that the outer electron region is
entered and exited. It also computes an "electron 2" time span, a "proton 1" 
time span, and "proton 2" time span. In all CXC mission planning
software, 1 refers to HRC and 2 refers to ACIS. Since the HRC and ACIS
have different limits, the times that Chandra crosses those thresholds
as it transits the radiation belts are computed by the OFLS. Th HRC electron 1 
time span is longest time span of the 4 and can be roughly construed as being 
the AP8/AE8 model expectation of radiation belt duration. As I have shown earlier,
this time span can be much shorter that what is actually encountered by Chandra.
I will add the HRC and ACIS radiation belt limits soon (ie, the radiation belt
thresholds that provided so that the AP8/AE8 model can compute the various E1, E2,
P1, and P2 time spans).
