AHELP for Sherpa 4.0 Beta image_fit Context: sl.sherpa

Synopsis

Send image of the fit_results to the imager.

Syntax

image_fit(; [ id=1, [newframe=True, tile=True, deleteframes=True]] );

Description

Sends image data fit results to the imager--by default, DS9. The data set is a 2-D data set. If no data set ID is given, fit results associated with the first data set are sent to the imager. The images shown are data, model, and residuals, by default each in a different tile.

Example

sherpa> image_fit;
sherpa> image_fit(1, newframe=True, tile=False);

The image_fit function can be called with no arguments, in which case fit results associated with the first data set are sent to the imager. By default, images of the data, model and residuals are sent to three new frames, and the frames are tiled for display. These options can be overridden by setting the appropriate keywords to False.

Bugs

See the bugs pages on the Sherpa Beta website for an up-to-date listing of known bugs.
