convolve with the laor model shape. XSpec convolution model *Experimental*.
A convolution model to smooth a spectrum by relatavistic effects from an accretion disk around a rotating black hole. Uses Ari Loar's calculation including GR effects (ApJ 376, 90). Modified from laor model by Andy Fabian and Roderick Johnstone.
|1||Index||Index: power law dependence of emissivity (scales as R^-Index)|
|2||Rin_G||inner radius (units of GM/c^2)|
|3||Rout_G||outer radius (units of GM/c^2)|
Loading the X-Spec convolution models
Please see ahelp xsconvolve for information on how to load the model.
- This is an experimental release of the convolution models; please take care when using this model.
This information is taken from the XSpec User's Guide. Version 12.10.0e of the XSpec models is supplied with CIAO 4.11.
sherpa> from sherpa_contrib.xspec.xsconvolve import load_xskdblur sherpa> load_xskdblur("kdb") sherpa> set_source(kdb(xspowerlaw.pl + xsgaussian.gs)) sherpa> kdb.index = 1.5 sherpa> kdb.rin_g = 10
The powerlaw and gaussian components are convolved by the kdblur model, with index set to 1.5 and the inner radius 10.
About Contributed Software
This script is not an official part of the CIAO release but is made available as "contributed" software via the CIAO scripts page. Please see this page for installation instructions - such as how to ensure that the parameter file is available.
