Telemetered Photon Dose Trends

ACIS

To monitor accumulative exposure effects on ACIS, we created cumulative exposure map once a month from all observations, including cariblations, using evt1 data of that month. This map is added on all previous exposure maps, and then statistics of the total exposure map is computed.

The table below lists links to trend plots of average, minimum, maximum, and 68%, 95%, and 99.7% level of dose for ACIS I and ACIS S. The plots on the left are the trends of exposure doses of each month, and the plots on rights are trends of cumulative exposure doses from the begining of the Chandra mission (each month exposure map is added on to the previous all exposure maps).

The second table lists the links to data tables including a link to a fits file of the month and an image of the data.

HRC

To monitor accumulative exposure effects on HRC, we created cumulative exposure maps of HRC using evt1 data of each month.

Following steps are taken to get the results

Following plots show trend of average, maximum, and 68%, 95%, and 99.7% level doses for HRC I and HRC S. The plots on the left are thoese of each month, and the plots on the right are cumulative exposure counts from the begining of the Chandra mission.

The minimum trends are not included since the map has the grid area where has no counts at all, and it makes the minmum counts, even it is cumulative, always zero.
