ACE P3 rates rose steadily in the past two days, and rapidly in the last day. Rates rose to ~1.0e5 around 2023:113:17:00:00 and have remained at that level or above (up to around ~2e5) since, up to now at 2023:113:22:00:00. We have accumulated a fluence of ~2.2e9 for this orbit so far. RADMON DISABLE is in 22.5 hours at 2023:114:20:34:13.

The ACE rates are very turbulent, and currently show no indications of peaking: presently at 97700.

ACIS Ops recommends an urgent radiation telecon to discuss this situation at 6:25 pm EDT on GMeet/1165, which coincides with the beginning of the next comm at 2023:113:22:25:00:

Radiation:
The ACE P3 exceeded safe limits on Sunday due to the passage of a CME associated
with a filament eruption on Friday, and SCS 107 was run manually.  The ACE P3
rates have dropped by approximately two orders of magnitude since the peak on
Sunday and they have been relatively flat over the last 12 hours at the value
of ~4000. Solar activity is expected to be low with a 25% chance for M-class
flares on day one (24 Apr) and likely to be low with a chance for M-class flares
on day two (25 Apr) and likely to be low on day three (26 Apr).
