TEPHIN Histograms
We plot histograms to show the percentage of time EPHIN spends at
different temperatures using the TEPHIN mnemonic in degrees Kelvin. The
binsize is 2.8 K so that all yellow indications fall in one bin.
TEPHIN upper yellow limit is 300.2 K; upper red limit is 303.0 K.

Quarterly plots
There is a perennial warming with peaks at perihelion (winter quarter) and
a long-term warming trend, presumably due to thermal insulation degradation,
but is under investigation. There is also a sun-angle relationship,
which suggests warming at mid-range (75-120 degree) pitch angles.
See
EPHIN temperatures vs. pitch angle plots.
Some communications on the problem are tracked here.
