HRC Command Sequences

HRC-S MCP Auto HV Ramp-up - SCS #90

Description:

In this sequence the HRC-S MCP HV level is raised in a series of steps from a "standby" level up to the final operating level. At each step the HVPS current limit is disabled, the bottom MCP HV level is set, the top MCP HV level is set, and then the current limit is enabled. The order of raising the HV is used to minimize HV gradients that might damage the MCPs.

Cautions/Restrictions:

This sequence must not be used unless the pressure at the HRC detector housing is less than 10-5 torr. Also, the HRC detector housing door must be open before this sequence is executed.
