OP03 Procedures op03:

HRC Higher-Level Sequences

-Y Shutter Scan

Description:

This sequence is used to scan the -Y shutter across the aim-point on one of the HRC detectors. After verifying that the door is not in the way of the shutter travel, the -Y shutter is moved to an initial starting position, POS_START. Then, for a specified number of steps (NUM_STEPS), the shutter is moved STEP_SIZE motor steps toward the maximum limit switch. At each shutter position there is a pause of DWELL_TIME to collect data.

Cautions/Restrictions:

The HRC Door must be out of the way of the shutter travel, either the door must be closed or it must be fully open (see HRC-C-008). This is accomplished in the first sequence in the procedure.
