OP03 Procedures op03:

HRC Contingency Procedures

HRC Emergency Safing

Description:

This procedure is to be used to safe the HRC, if autonomous safing fails. It should be implemented within a script so that it can be executed during real-time contacts in cases where both OBCs are off-line.

First both HRC MCP HV power supplies are turned off and their commanded output levels are set to zero. Then, if desired, the anticoincidence PMT HV power supplies are turned off and their commanded output levels are set to zero, Finally, if desired, the the HRC detector housing door is partially closed, first homing the HRC +/-Y Shutters if necessary.

Procedure Trigger:

This procedure should be run anytime that the observatory encounters an anomaly but fails to execute the HRC safing functions.
