Matching CIAO and CALDB Versions

CIAO 4.1 requires CALDB 4.1 to operate properly.

CALDB 4.1 should not be used unless you are running CIAO 4.1.

Are your versions mismatched? Update CIAO and CALDB!

The merge_all script will produce incorrect results if one (or more) of the observations was done with an offset. For details and a workaround, refer to the merge_all bugs page.

Download issue on Mac OS X 10.5.7 Intel

Multiple users have reported that they are unable to download the CIAO tarfiles on Mac OS X Intel 10.5.7 from the Safari browser (v3.2.3 and v4). Please try an alternate browser, e.g. Mozilla Firefox, and contact Helpdesk if you continue to have a problem.

Small updates were made to the fullgarf and merge_all scripts in the 01 Jun 2009 script tarfile. Read about the changes and download the updated package from the Scripts page.

Download the CIAO 4.1.2 patch.

CIAO 4.1.2 includes several new CIAO tools and many enhancements to Sherpa, the modeling and fitting package. This patch includes a full installation of the CIAO software for Solaris 10 (SunOS 5.10, SPARC).
