Chandra Data Archive Retrieval Statistics

Download Volume (Bytes)

This table provides the total number of MBytes of Chandra data downloaded per month from the Chandra Data Archive and its mirror sites at LEDAS, ASDC (Italy), IUCAA (India), and HEASARC. The numbers for the CDA are split into different datatype categories.

The columns are:

  • Provisional Retrieval Interface
  • Data distribution of proprietary data to and by Guest Observer teams
  • Quicklook images (distributed soon after receipt of telemetry)
  • Caldb distributions
  • Prepackaged: special datasets, such as the deep field tar files and the orbit ephemeris files
  • The anonymous ftp archive
  • WebChaSeR, using the ftp staging area
  • ChaSeR, using the ftp staging area
  • ChaSeR, using direct data transfer
  • Total download volume from LEDAS mirror (UK)
  • Total download volume from the anonymous ftp archive mirror at ASDC (Italy)
  • Total download volume from the anonymous ftp archive mirror at IUCAA (India)
  • Total downloads from the anonymous ftp archive mirror at HEASARC
  • Grand total download volume
