HRMA Calibration: Focus Position

Status:

The most recent plate focus tests indicate that the position of best-focus has not changed due to out-gassing of the optical bench. The nominal focus positions below (in motor steps) are taken from the Off-line Database (ODB).

Analysis:

The latest ACIS-S plate focus analysis (3/31/00) yielded a best-focus of -486 motor steps, showing that the focus position has remained stable (within the errors) since launch.
